Are we going to have a specified prop, to try and hold the air speeds to an equal level, say 11x4 or 11x5 Master ?

I have a 40 in my spad, but I think a regulated prop size sounds like a  good idea

Those master airscrews take a fair bit of punishment also.

Cheers Greg

The speed achieved by the plane is a function of the power developed by the engine and the aerodynamic efficiency of the aircraft.  Prop size will have little effect on speed.  If there is any change in the speed of a model as a result of changing the prop, then it will be small and, IMHO, insignificant compared with the pilot skill required to shorten a streamer.  I think prop regulation is an unneccessary complication.

From someone not flying in this, just "Run what ya brung", I'll be impressed to see if anyone can cut a streamer 'cos I bet when you're trying, hitting that moving target is harder than it looks!

The decision is....whatever you have in your shed.  I have a dozen 10 x 7 that I want to use up before getting more.  get a prop that right for your engine and wallet.  There will be no need to limit props, nito content of engines etc just keep engines below .46cc. Only because they move quite quickly and from the time you take your eyes off your own model to see where the other guys are.

10 x 6 driven by an old OS40LA.  So you will easily be able to get on my tail!
