Hi everyone, Does anyone in the club have any pylon models still? Espically of the electric kind. Currently looking at a Top Model Stiletto to replace my Dynamic 400 that was met with a spar failure last weekend. Brad

New question. Is anyone interested in this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=SES9c6BqeDI "Spec class" pylon. Basically cheap models, cheap power gear and fairly low speed for pylon (top 90-100 MPH). Nice easy to see models. We limit the power and speed by dicating a 4.75x4.75 prop with 20k max RPM. Couple of us are trying to organise a few rounds a year in different feilds with these "slow" planes to get more people interested.

Rifle arrived. Not the quickest, or the best plane in the world, but cheap and will do fine in this class. More details over at: Couple of people asked me what planes would be suitable for this, heres a full list: http://www.modelflyingnz.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=165&sid=0b1b379fdd0998e3bf92931705e10946 If you wanted to go the fastest on this prop/setup you would probably be after one of these: http://www.mirourban.com/ Voodoo, very very nice little planes. Lots of people carry them, i think the closest to us is Big Bruce Racing in Aussie.
