About Me
I started with brown paper & string as a kid, then progressed to pre-cut sheet balsa models received as presents. Started working @ Pelco sweeping the floor about 50years ago @ a shilling an hour. Used my first school holiday pay to buy an ED Bee 1cc diesel for one pound two and sixpence. I made one control line model, flew it in the paddock next door where Cummins is now and got instantly disallusioned with going round and round. I burned that and built a Wright single valve receiver and bought a transmitter and escapement off Phil Hereford. Then I built a Whit63 receiver from RCM&E and a transmitter and servos and a couple of models which I still have. I have always been interested in aeroplanes, especially WW2 warplanes, and I hope to find some time after I have finished building my house.
